122. Best of Enemies

Grant describes Daryl Davis, a black musician, who was able to convince "many white supremacists to leave the KKK and abandon their hatred" (122).

For this challenge, watch the film The Best of Enemies (2019) starring Sam Rockwell and Taraji P. Henson, which is available via various online streaming services. The movie is based on the book The Best of Enemies: Race and Redemption in the New South (2007) by Osha Gray Davidson, which focuses on the rivalry between civil rights activist Ann Atwater and Ku Klux Klan leader C. P. Ellis.

After you've seen the film, reflect on this question: in what ways does the film's depiction of the evolving relatiionship between Atwater and Ellis reinforce or challenge the acount of effective negotiation and persuasive techniques described in Think Again?
