  1. Once while playing Apples to Apples I got what I consider the funniest card I’ve ever seen. The card was Americans and the description just said, “That’s not funny, we’re suing!” It’s meant to be a joke, but when you look at law suits over the temperature of McDonald’s coffee, it doesn’t seem too ridiculous. This is actually one reason I think it may be difficult for people to let go of their dependence of technology. It also wasn’t strongly discussed in the book. It is much easier to blame a computer or its manufacture for a mistake than to take credit for it. It’s no secret that companies fear law suits, even hospitals keep lawyers on staff. Take pilots for example. What sounds better for an airline company to say; their planes use top of the line autopilot technology or just pilots? What would be a better case for the airline in a law suit; a plane crashed due to failure of a tech company’s autopilot or to the airline’s pilot error?
